Hey! I’ve Been Looking For Someone Like You.

After graduating college and leaving behind the community I was apart of for so long. It was difficult to find a group of caring people in the same season of life I was in. You know, that season of life where you're trying to find your place in the world and working hard to live independently while still trying to integrate yourself in the community around you. Oh, don't forget. You're going through a new discovery of self and working towards life goals while balancing a romantic relationship/marriage/dating.

Sure, just as Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 3, "there's a time for everything". Of course I think dedicating parts of your life to look inward is extremely vital to grow mentally + spiritually. Trust me, I of all people will advocate for self-reflection side-by-side with a professional (cough cough... a psychoanalytic professional) but that's a blog for another time. What I want to talk about is what brings me to starting this blog. Like what kind of business do I even have being here?! hehe. Well, let me tell you. Recently, I had a coffee date with an old friend of mine. (I'll leave her info below because SHE. IS. AMAZIIIINNNNGGG!!!) We hadn't spoken to each other in a couple of years and the last time we saw each other we were going through sommme... well let's just say... life changes (relationships! am I right? well it was more than that but moving on). I don't really know why we didn't talk about it before. Whether it was maturity, processing life, healing, etc. All I can say is that we both craved similar things:

It wasn't until I finally got out there and had some actual human interaction with a dear friend that I realized "I'M NOT THE ONLY FREAKING ONE!". She felt A LOT of the same ways I was feeling. So much so, that we BOTH started small businesses for the SAME REASONS! We were aiming to create a gateway from our businesses to a community with you! We were tired of seeing a missed opportunity to start a sisterhood of women that shared the same faith, had the same struggles, and wanted more for their life. Women that wanted to make an impact on each other and the world. Women that want to share their faith and feel inspired. This... this is why I started this blog.

Don't get me wrong ladies, we can absolutely be of the same faith and have disagreements. The beauty in that is we can grow from those conversations. We can continue to have respect for one another and we can certainly still be sisters. We will be better for it! My boyfriend asked me a puzzling question the other day, "why are girls so mean to each other?". The question wasn't shocking at all. Honestly, I agreed with him. It was just so out of the blue, a little hard to answer and I still don't have a definitive one. What I can say is that we have a choice to be kind or malicious. We have the power in our hands to build a community that uplifts one another or tears one another down. I choose to use this blog for good and with the help of you and God I want to build a community of beautifully loving women. So, if you or someone you know is looking for those qualities in a blog, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE! I hope you continue to stick around and if you would like a friend leave a comment below. Let us know who you are and where you’re from. I love to hear from all of you. Have a blessed week everyone!

xx,

Claudia

P.S. Everyone, meet the remarkable Clarisse! She’s THE owner of the cutest clothing store @blushcottage. This is not just any clothing store ladies. Clarisse hand picks her items for us to show up as modest women of God but in a MUCH cuter way. Recently, she just announced the winner of her FALL giveaway and maybe if we all go say hello she’ll consider letting us know when the next one is (wink wink 😜). No pressure friend!
